Kākā

The Kākā is a large parrot native to New Zealand. It has a distinctive dark plumage and long tail feathers, and can grow up to 45 centimeters in length. Kākā are omnivorous and feed on a variety of fruits, seeds, and insects. They are also known for their intelligence and problem-solving abilities. The Kākā population has been greatly reduced due to habitat loss and predation by introduced mammals, but conservation efforts are currently underway to protect and increase their numbers.
